Gloss Bedroom Furniture

Last Spring we wrote a short blog entitled Springs Bedroom Trends following our annual visit to the Kitchen Bedroom and Bathroom show. It would seem our predication that the trend for Gloss Bedroom Furniture would increase, was correct.
When gloss furniture first hit the high street back in the 1980’s the colours were striking. The shops proudly displayed black gloss bedrooms and new age white gloss wardrobes. The daring amongst us opted for striking red gloss finishes.

However, Gloss Bedroom Furniture now comes in glorious colours that will appeal to all tastes.

Gloss Furniture Colours

Nowadays the passion for all things modern, shiny and easy to clean continues. People want modern contemporary bedroom furniture. However in addition to the basic gloss colour palette consisting of black, white and red,  more subtle tones have been introduced. Over the past 2 years colours have tended to be closer to nature. Inspiration has been taken and integrated into our homes from the world around us.

Shades of Grey Gloss Furniture

For example imagine a pebble beach as the tide ebbs and flows. Each surge of surf leaves behind an array of light and dark grey shades as the water subsides. The spectrum ranges from the depths of Anthracite Gloss to the smokey softness of Silver Smoke Gloss doors.

These shades of grey create a decadent richness in period properties and simple urban chic in the contemporary home.

Shades of Brown Gloss Doors

The colour of Autumn inspires the earthy tones of sandstone, taupe, chocolate, mocha and latte. The coffee house favorites now lend their name to gloss bedroom furniture. Why you may ask but it is simple.

A latte is smooth with lightly foamed frothy creamy top. Both of these colours are familiar to us. As you settle down with cup in hand it creates a sense of comfort, relaxation and me time. Who wouldn’t want to have that in their own bedroom.

Metallic Gloss Wardrobes Doors

Wonderful Winter crisp frosty mornings and crystal clear free blue skies lend themselves to metallic gloss colour for example ice blue or polar white. At first thought metallic blue maybe construed as cold but the gloss finish brings out the warmth in the shade.

Consider adding either a contrasting dark wood grain frame or a white oak frame and the end result delivers a sophisticated grown up bedroom.

Gloss Wardrobe Doors

Gloss wardrobes doors as a product have evolved since the 1980’s too. The somewhat plastic looking coatings are a thing of the past, or at least should be. The new era of gloss wardrobe doors have surpassed themselves by a long way and the Acrylic door is the new kid on the block. The acrylic doors are harder wearing and in my opinion a more luxurious look and feel. They shine like glass but somehow portray a softness ideal for creating a relaxed yet stylish bedroom ambience. Verve also supply wood grain gloss doors that have to been to seen to be believed.
So whatever your personal style and taste if your love gloss furniture there is a shade for you.
All the ranges are available from Verve Fitted Bedrooms who are an independent bespoke bedroom furniture specialist.
