How To Decorate Your Bedroom: Neutral and Contemporary Tones

When you really think about it, bedroom decorating is easy, breezy! You can do it yourself, and you just have to design it according to what one person wants, you! Well, that is if you are single of course. However, for those of you in a relationship your partner’s bedroom colour scheme may have to be considered too. However, it goes deeper than that. It is not just about satisfying one or more tastes.  It is about creating bedroom colour scheme that you can not only live with but you love. If you opt for a bedroom colour scheme from either  a traditional or contemporary palette you would be hard pushed to go wrong.

So if you’re looking for a softer, warmer, and earthier bedroom colour scheme, this is the post for you! This colour family is perfect for a warm and inviting bedroom looking to emphasize its connection with the world around it.
Today we’re going to talk about two colours palettes and styles for your bedroom that reflect a more natural colour scheme!
Both of the palettes are from Farrow and Ball as we have found many of our customers have used these palettes to complete their bedroom decoration projects. They are great quality paints and the end result is always exquisite.

1. Farrow and Ball – Traditional Neutrals

The first palette consists of four shades. Slipper Satin, Lime White, Off White, and Old White.
These colours all have an underlying green-grey tone. We have found that these work really well with many of the fitted wardrobes colours we offer. For example, Slipper Satin on the walls with crisp white woodwork with the backdrop of Gloss Wardrobe Doors in Mink or Dakar from the  Verve Fitted Bedrooms collection combines both the traditional and modern styles perfectly.

2. Farrow and Ball, Contemporary Neutrals

The palette again consists of fours shades. Wimbourne White, Stone White, Skimming Stone and Elephants Breath. The palette at is core is a gradual deepening of greys, but it has more to offer. Each shade has an underlying lilac tone, which adds real warmth. So this grey palette is not a cold steely scheme but it is contemporary and warm. The shades work really well with either our gloss wardrobe doors or matt finish wardrobe doors. Adding crystal wardrobe door handles will really add glamour to your bedroom. Sophisticated, glamorous and inviting.
