Lifestyle and Bedroom Design

Ask yourself does your lifestyle and bedroom design meet your needs ?  Does your lifestyle demand that you need quiet and solitude or maybe your passion for fashion is creating clutter.  Whatever your lifestyle it is now common place that bedroom designs have to deliver more.  Why you may ask. The answer is for lots of reasons but, here are a few that we come across when we are asked to design a bedroom to match someones lifestyle.

Lifestyle – Are Your Grown Up Children Still At Home?

Our children are staying at home longer. The need for mortgage deposits means that their independence and the thrill of owning their first home may happen later in life.   Therefore, their bedroom needs to be their personal living space and hopefully meet the demands of  their lifestyle .  With their wings clipped and parents wondering if their offspring will ever leave the nest it is vital to create breathing space.   This is where your lifestyle and bedroom design come into play. Done well, harmony can be restored and everyone gets some me space.  Can you feel yourself  breath a sigh of relief just thinking about it.  ME SPACE, Me Space, Meeee Spaceeee ….. ARRR HEAVENLY !!

Home Office In Your Bedroom

We are becoming a nation of people who work from home.  Whether this is a permanent arrangement or the demands of catching up with email out of hours is part of your day you need somewhere to set up your laptop. Sitting in a lounge with family and the television is not ideal.   After all, who wants to take that all important conference call with your parents favourite TV programme blaring in the background.

We acknowledge many entrepreneurs start their thriving businesses from the hub of their bedrooms but, even they would say don’t have background distractions spoiling the image.  It could be the difference between the success and failure. So if your lifestyle includes working, and you live at home with your parents, your bedroom is likely to be your home office too.

TV And Social Media Now Part of Bedroom Lifestyle

Gaming, television and music and not forgetting skype technology is now part of everyday life. The bedroom is no escape from the modern world. Integrating TV’s into wardrobes and concealing a complete home office behind wardrobe doors to create a multi-functioning space is all part of a days work here at Verve.

What does this all mean for fitted bedrooms? The answer is fitted bedroom furniture is no longer just about storage.   It is about creating a lifestyle space that meets your needs without compromising storage or style.

The traditional bedroom has always been a place for rest and play. Nowadays tradition is still the base line and for me I hope it always will but modern lifestyles demand more.
